A system field representing when the task was created.

When to use

Use creation metadata to understand request arrival or record age. Choose Date for an invoice, shipment, or appointment date entered by a user, and Due Date for a deadline.

Settings and behavior

The creation schema accepts only type: CreatedAtField. There is no configurable default value or Date-format setting in this request. The model marks it as a system field and exposes the field resource as SystemField.

A creation timestamp and a business date serve different purposes. For example, an invoice can be entered today while its document date is yesterday. Presentation of this metadata depends on the system-field support in the interface.
