Portal User — Driver and Master
Portal User connects a record in a driver or specialist register to an external user's personal cabinet. The account has the PORTAL_USER role and works with the related tasks allowed by its profile settings. It is separate from an employee account and from a BOT integration.
The field was previously called Driver Profile. Its backend type is still DriverProfileField; this page keeps its original address.
Configure the field
A super-admin opens Profile → Configuration → form → Fields (Template in older versions), adds Portal User, and chooses Portal kind:
| Kind | Cabinet settings |
|---|---|
| Driver | Identity, trips, vehicles and expenses |
| Master | Identity, working hours, vacation, services and orders |
The dropdown controls the type; the JSON editor below it shows the relevant settings. The type is locked after the field is created. Create a separate field for a different type.
Map existing form and field IDs in the settings. Identity maps first name, last name, phone and email. Email must be populated before activation. Optional identity mappings copy schedule, absences and rate into the user's profile.
Driver
- Trips: trips form, driver/vehicle links, route, distance, files, status fields and the values for new, active and completed trips; visible fields.
- Vehicles: vehicles form, driver files and visible fields.
- Expenses: expenses form, trip/vehicle links, visible fields and whether expenses can be created from trips or vehicles.
- Configure comments, uploads and task-file visibility where supported by each section.
Master
- Identity: profile data and optional schedule, absences and rate mappings.
- Master: working-hours, vacation and services fields in the specialist register.
- Orders: jobs form, the field linking a job to the master, visible fields, comments, uploads and task-file visibility.
Activate an external user
- Create and save a record in the driver or specialist register.
- Fill in the identity fields, including email.
- Press Activate user in the Portal User field. The field shows the linked user and activation state.
- Use Deactivate in the same field to disable the portal account; Activate reactivates it.
This role is provisioned through the field, not through the ordinary employee-creation form. Portal users receive access to configured related records, not general access to the company's registers.
Use Person to select an existing user, or Form to link a register record. Neither field alone activates a portal account.
For scheduling jobs, enable the separate Calendar extension. Calendar can work without portal accounts. See also shared field settings.
